JOB DESCRIPTION
HOUSEKEEPING
ATTENDANT REPORTS TO
Executive Housekeeper GENERAL:
Daily duties and activities of the Housekeeper to include but not limited to maintaining clean hotel exceeding brand standards and local governmental agency requirements to ensure highest guest satisfaction. Report all damage, mechanical deficiencies, suspicious activities, theft in accordance with the Hotel management procedures and standards. Assist management in enforcing safety and security rules for safe operation of hotel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Clean guest rooms and stock with appropriate supplies in the prescribed manner while following safety rules, security procedures and Brand Designated Requirements. This includes but is not limited to:  Strip room of all bed linen and towels.  Remove all trash from room.  Clean the entire bathroom to include shower walls, tile floors, toilet (inside & out), and towel bars. Change shower curtain if mildew present.  Clean the entire vanity area to include towel rods, mirror, vanity surfaces (top, sides, and front), and tissue holder.  Clean all night stands, credenza (including drawers), work table, microwave, fridge, chair and sleeper sofa (including under cushion, down sides, and under the chair) and artwork.  Clean inside and outside of all doors and windows.  Make up bed and sleeper sofa in accordance with Brand requirements.  Return all furniture to its designated area in the room.  Restock vanity in accordance with Brand requirements.  Restock clothes hangers in accordance with Brand requirements.  Restock room in accordance with Owner and Brand requirements.  Report any missing or broken lights, light bulbs, hairdryer, iron & ironing board, ice bucket, TV & remote, clock radio, furniture and other equipment to housekeeping Supervisor.  Set clock to correct time (leave alarm off) and set thermostat to designated temprature.  Make sure all lights are plugged in and working. Retrieve, stock, restock and store the housekeeping cart in accordance with prescribed housekeeping procedures. Receive assigned rooms, keys, supplies and any priority room requests from the Housekeeping Supervisor. Turn in keys and unused supplies at the end of shift. Return cribs and rollaway beds to assigned area. Respond to Guest requests in a hospitable manner and report Guest issues and complaints to Executive Housekeeper. Turn in any articles that were left in room to the Housekeeping Supervisor. Varying shift hours (typically 5-10 hours); scheduled days and times may vary.
OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate work with the Executive Housekeeper on priorities and provide assistance when needed. Clean designated public and non public areas in coordination with Executive Housekeeper.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS & ABILITIES
Ability to communicate information and hotel services to management and guests. Normal hearing, vision, and communication skills.
Pushing or Pulling:
up to 40 lbs.
Lifting or Carrying:
up to 40 lbs. Constantly push supply cart. Re-supply cart on as needed basis. Stock supply area. Clean Bathroom and Rooms. Make Beds. Place furniture in designated place. Carry dirty linen to laundry or laundry shot. Remove all trash to designated collection area. Clean public areas and non public areas. Continuous bending, walking, standing, and climbing.
EDUCATION/FORMAL TRAINING
No formal education required.
EXPERIENCE
Prior housekeeping experience desirable.
MATERIAL/EQUIPMENT USED
Operate Vacuum Cleaner.
Chemicals/Agents used:
Standard ECOLAB, ZEP or similar cleaning chemicals, deodorizers, and disinfectants. These could be acidic or basic in nature.
Protective clothing:
Gloves worn approximately 60-80% on work shift.
ENVIRONMENT
Primarily prolonged standing, walking and climbing stairs indoors in thermostatically climate controlled work area under various lighting condition. Limited walking and climbing stairs outside the property. 2
