We are looking for people who would like to help us achieve our mission to provide healing and hope to children and families. The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all office buildings. Custodian job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Vacuum and shampoo carpets in all facilities as needed. Clean office buildings throughout the campus. Empty trash, dust, vacuum and mop. Strip and wax floors as needed/directed Responsible for overall cleanliness of all office buildings  Clean baseboards, window seals and windows. Assist with set up and breakdown of special events. Perform other related duties as assigned. Maintains open communication with supervisor. Works well with other employees by asking for help when needed and assisting others as needed. Work with other employees to complete assignments. Willing to discuss custodial needs with supervisor. Complete training necessary to perform position consistent with program and agency staff development plans/ Ability to follow instructions without supervisor being present. Continues high quality work when supervisor is absent. Complete all job responsibilities. Stay on schedule with meal and breaks. Update supervisor with information about shift.

Education/Work Experience include but is not limited to the following: High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to appropriately handle confidential information. Ability to understand and consistently implement policies and procedures of the Agency. Ability to interact and work cooperatively and effectively with other personnel and residents. Ability to uphold the mission and values of The Methodist Home. Ability to be trained in basic first aid, medication administration, CPR and crisis intervention. Must be 21 year of age. Valid Georgia Driver's license High level of energy required for working with people.
