Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Caretaker to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of our facilities. This vital role involves performing a variety of custodial and maintenance tasks to ensure a welcoming, safe, and well-maintained environment for staff, visitors, and clients. Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning duties across all areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using commercial cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle janitorial tasks with precision, including trash removal, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold hygiene standards. Manage chemical agents safely by following proper handling procedures for cleaning solutions and industrial chemicals to ensure safety for yourself and others. Conduct manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of furniture, equipment, or supplies while adhering to safe lifting practices to prevent injury. Carry out routine facilities maintenance including minor repairs, painting (residential or commercial), and inspecting building systems for issues requiring attention. Operate industrial cleaning tools like floor buffers and buffing machines to maintain high-quality floor care across various surfaces. Support industrial cleaning projects or custodial services in large-scale environments such as warehouses or manufacturing facilities as needed. Qualifications Proven experience in custodial work or janitorial roles within commercial, industrial, or residential settings. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment including floor buffers and buffing machines. Experience handling chemical agents safely with an understanding of proper storage and disposal procedures. Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining safe practices at all times. Knowledge of facilities maintenance tasks such as basic repairs, painting, and general upkeep procedures. Prior porter or custodial experience in industrial or large-scale environments is highly desirable. Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards and safety protocols.
