In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall presentation of public spaces and guest rooms during turn-down service. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of public areas including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other shared spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Execute turn-down service by preparing guest rooms for the evening, including making beds, replenishing amenities, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Handle cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, floor care, dusting, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold sanitation standards. Safely operate cleaning equipment and handle chemical agents in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel safety procedures. Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks related to cleaning supplies or furniture repositioning while following proper safety protocols. Maintain cleanliness and organization of janitorial storage areas and cleaning carts to ensure efficiency. Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns related to cleanliness or room amenities, providing excellent customer service at all times. Follow hotel emergency procedures when necessary to ensure safety for guests and staff during any incidents or safety hazards. Requirements Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management, custodial work, janitorial services, or hospitality environments. Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and floor care equipment operation. Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to SDS guidelines and proper chemical handling procedures. Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, vacuuming, and prolonged standing or walking during shifts. Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude toward guest interactions. Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform thorough cleaning while maintaining efficiency. Prior experience with hotel housekeeping or custodial work is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
