Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team maintaining short term vacation rental properties across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will ensure each property is guest-ready, clean, and welcoming, performing a full range of cleaning, maintenance, and preparation tasks between guest stays. This role is critical for delivering a high-quality guest experience and maintaining the company's quality, safety, and sanitation standards. Key Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing surfaces. Make beds, change linens, and manage laundry of bedding, towels, and other materials. Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, and other high-touch areas, including fixtures, mirrors, and countertops. Empty trash and recycling containers, and ensure proper disposal of waste. Monitor and report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to management promptly. Restock cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other necessary items as needed. Conduct periodic deep cleaning tasks, such as carpet shampooing, window cleaning, and appliance cleaning. Follow all safety and sanitation procedures and adhere to established cleaning standards. Assist with special projects, event setup, or other duties as assigned. Travel between assigned properties within the workday as required. Ensure timely completion of tasks to maintain high standards of cleanliness and property presentation. Qualifications Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred but not required. Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and techniques. Ability to work as part of a team and independently, manage time effectively, and follow instructions. Attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards. Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual. Flexibility to work different shifts or schedules as required. This position requires passing a pre-employment background screening, conducted in compliance with applicable federal and Hawaii law. Employees must be able to reliably report to assigned work locations. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods. Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
