Job Description

Job Summary:
This individual is responsible for housekeeping and maintenance of all LCHC facilities and grounds, rented or owned. Individuals are responsible for cleanliness and safety of the facility and its environment. This individual will report facility safety issues and maintenance needs to their supervisor. They must also follow all LCHC policies and procedures; also identify and recommend improvements. Practices and espouses the LCHC patient care philosophy: All Inclusive culturally sensitive Patient Centered Medical Home care integrated with behavioral health, outreach, and case management. Individuals must adhere to strict confidentiality policies, HIPAA laws, and the like. LCHC is a patient care, teaching and research organization and provides workshops, education sessions and outreach all employees should expect to be involved with these activities the extent to which will depend upon their position in the organization.
Responsibilities:
Cleanliness and maintenance of all LCHC facilities, interior and exterior, rented or owned, including the health center, administration and outreach offices, and the vehicles. Duties include but are not limited to: Requires knowledge of and compliance with government regulations related to health facilities Ensures that all facilities and grounds are clean, safe and well-maintained. Inspects facilities and grounds to identify safety and health risk exposures working with the Medical Provider and other LCHC employees as needed Carry out daily any periodical cleaning activities of all LCHC facilities Ensures that all LCHC facilities and grounds are cleaned and safe to ensure high quality patient care environment, in accordance with health facility guidelines, including but not limited to, cleaning offices, exam rooms, bathrooms, windows (interior and exterior), building exterior, simple gardening maintenance, and the like Maintains the inventory for all housekeeping supplies and equipment and ensures that they are stocked and restocked in a timely manner Anticipates and identifies facility needs and works with Supervisor to meet those needs Reports to Supervisor any observed compliance issues regarding fire and safety regulations Accomplishes assigned projects accurately and on time Requires valid driver's license with clean driving abstract
Qualifications:
Person of mature character, sound judgment and a caring nature Person knowledgeable and understanding of the diverse cultural appropriateness of the individuals and families in the community Has a desire to serve and benefit the community Able to communicate clearly and tactfully with others, prepare written reports and other necessary communications in a professional manner Good interpersonal skills, able to accept criticism and desires personal growth Able to be flexible, pleasant, kind, takes initiative, etc. Bilingual in Filipino dialect preferred but not required Experience & Education Proven experience as a housekeeper or similar role. Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery. Good physical health and stamina. Strong attention to detail. Excellent time management skills. High school diploma or equivalent.
