Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper/Laundry personnel to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in our facility (this includes cleaning rooms and laundry attendant), ensuring a comfortable and sanitary environment for all occupants.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Duties:
- Perform general housekeeping duties including cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and mopping floors
- Manage laundry services by washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing
- Ensure all rooms and common areas are well-maintained and presentable
- Restock supplies such as toiletries and cleaning products
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines to provide a clean and hazard-free environment
- Collaborate with the housekeeping team to meet cleanliness standards Clean guest rooms in accordance with established quality and performance standards to allow a sufficient quantity of vacant and clean guest rooms for sale Report, turn in, all lost and found items from guest rooms, and throughout hotel Enter guest rooms following procedures for gaining access and ensuring vacancy before entering Replace dirty linens and towels with clean items, make beds and fold towels, and clean bathrooms Replace guest amenities and supplies in room Remove trash, dirty linen, and room service items Check that all appliances are present in the room and in working order Straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances Vacuum carpets and perform floor care duties (e.
g., in guest rooms and hallway) Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings Organize and stock cleaning cart and organize linen closets on floors assigned Perform other duties as requested (i.e. cleaning unexpected spills; executing special guest requests) Report/communicate any maintenance needs found in guest rooms while cleaning Assist other housekeeping associates in maintaining clean and organized work and public areas Anticipate customer needs with the ability to change goals and direction quickly Maintains customer service and excellent relations with guests, visitors, vendors and other external or internal organizations Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas Meet standards for room completion with quality results
Requirements:
- Proven experience in custodial or housekeeping roles
- Knowledge of housekeeping management practices
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques
- Experience in hotel or hospitality housekeeping is a plus
