Housekeeping Supervisors, Housekeeping Staff ________________________________________ Position Summary The Housekeeping Crew Lead supports the Operations Manager in overseeing the facility's janitorial and housekeeping operations. This position provides day-to-day leadership to Housekeeping Supervisors and staff, coordinates event and non-event cleaning assignments, monitors work quality, and helps ensure the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and presentable condition. The Crew Lead serves as the primary on-shift contact between the Operations Manager and Housekeeping Supervisors. In the Manager's absence, the Crew Lead may assume responsibility for daily departmental operations within the authority assigned by management. This position serves as a key member of the venue leadership team and embodies the Mountain America Center culture of Get It Done, Power In Unity, and Best of the Best. ________________________________________ Areas of Responsibility 1. Follow and help enforce applicable laws and regulations, including OSHA requirements, as well as company policies, safety procedures, and management directives. 2. Provide direct guidance to Housekeeping Supervisors and staff regarding schedules, work assignments, cleaning priorities, event requirements, and departmental procedures. 3. Lead pre-shift meetings and communicate assignments, safety information, facility conditions, event details, and management expectations. 4. Receive housekeeping calls during events and ensure that assignments are communicated, completed promptly, and documented as required. 5. Conduct regular facility walkthroughs and quality-control inspections to verify that work has been completed according to established standards. 6. Train employees in proper cleaning methods, restroom servicing, waste removal, laundry procedures, equipment operation, chemical use, personal protective equipment, and safe work practices. 7. Confirm that Housekeeping Supervisors prepare accurate end-of-shift reports identifying completed work, outstanding tasks, incidents, supply needs, and priorities for the next shift. 8. Coordinate the distribution and collection of radios, keys, badges, cleaning equipment, and other assigned property. 9. Verify that doors are secured, lights are turned off, equipment is stored properly, and assigned areas are left in a safe condition at the end of the shift. 10. Assist with managing housekeeping equipment and cleaning supplies, including inventory counts, ordering requests, receiving, stocking, and proper storage. 11. Ensure Safety Data Sheet binders are current, accessible, and maintained in appropriate locations for all cleaning chemicals. 13. At least 24 years of housekeeping, janitorial, facilities, hospitality, or eventvenue experience preferred. At least one year of leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of commercial housekeeping processes, sanitation standards, safety practices, and qualitycontrol procedures. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and electronic scheduling or reporting systems. Ability to assign and prioritize work, provide clear direction, resolve routine employee concerns, and maintain professional working relationships. Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment within established policies and assigned authority. Must have a reliable attendance record and the flexibility to work days, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and changing schedules based on event needs. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, climb stairs, and perform repetitive work. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions. Ability to work around crowds, noise, cleaning chemicals, waste, wet surfaces, and moving equipment. Ability to wear required uniforms and personal protective equipment. Regular exposure to eventdriven schedules and periods of high activity is expected.
