Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms to ensure top cleanliness standards. Handle cleaning tasks efficiently using appropriate equipment such as vacuums, mops, and cleaning tools while adhering to safety protocols. Manage chemical agents safely by understanding and following safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures for all cleaning supplies. Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting high-touch surfaces and ensuring all areas meet health regulations. Assist with floor care activities like stripping, waxing, and buffing floors to preserve their appearance and durability. Respond promptly to guest requests with friendly customer service, addressing any special cleaning needs or concerns professionally. Follow hotel housekeeping management procedures, including reporting maintenance issues and completing detailed shift reports. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in hospitality or industrial cleaning environments is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of floor cleaning techniques and floor care equipment operation. Experience handling chemical agents safely and understanding safety data sheets (SDS). Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and emergency procedures enhances your effectiveness in this role. Strong manual handling skills for heavy lifting tasks involved in moving furniture or large cleaning equipment. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. Previous hotel experience or hospitality background is advantageous but not mandatory; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
