Duties Perform thorough cleaning of residential and commercial spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitation to meet client expectations. Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate detergents and equipment to ensure hygiene standards are upheld. Handle laundry tasks efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items. Maintain floor care by sweeping, scrubbing, polishing, and using specialized equipment for carpet cleaning or floor polishing as needed. Manage outdoor work responsibilities such as trash removal, outdoor surface cleaning, and maintaining entryway cleanliness. Operate janitorial equipment safely and effectively while adhering to manual handling guidelines for heavy lifting or moving furniture. Communicate professionally with clients to understand their needs, provide updates on service completion, and ensure satisfaction with the cleaning process. Skills Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning environments with knowledge of janitorial or custodial procedures. Strong understanding of cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, and sanitation standards. Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently while following proper handling protocols. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during scheduled shifts. Customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients. Knowledge of cleaning detergents and disinfectants to ensure proper application without damage or residue. Physical stamina for manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting, outdoor work activities, dusting high surfaces, or moving furniture when necessary.
