Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Houseman/Laundry Attendant to join our hospitality team. Duties Perform floor cleaning and floor care tasks, including vacuuming, mopping, and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Handle laundry operations efficiently, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and delivering linens and guest clothing. Use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents safely while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling procedures. Maintain sanitation standards by cleaning guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, public areas, and service spaces thoroughly. Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to laundry carts, cleaning supplies, or equipment moving while following proper manual handling protocols. Support hotel housekeeping management by ensuring all cleaning supplies are stocked and equipment is maintained in good working order. Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns to ensure guest and staff safety. Requirements Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles with janitorial or industrial cleaning background preferred. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and floor care procedures. Ability to handle chemical agents safely and competently while following safety data sheets (SDS). Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy loads safely. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, extractors, and other janitorial tools. Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols within a hospitality environment. Previous hotel experience or hospitality background is highly desirable.
