The person selected for this position will work with a wide range of patients and individuals in custody which will require patience and firmness when performing assigned duties. Additionally, the successful candidate will utilize cleaning equipment, chemicals and supplies to wash, clean and/or polish all surfaces, fixtures, furnishings, windows, and doors in all locations in assigned living areas. Essential Functions Performs housekeeping duties on assigned living areas including all offices, lobbies, bathrooms, showers, activity/training rooms, break areas, hallways, auditorium, and conference rooms. Performs housekeeping duties for the Administration building. Cleans woodwork, toilets, washrooms, fixtures, ceilings and vents. Maintains stocks of supplies and notifies supervisor when supplies become low. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above. Minimum Qualifications Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of high school. Conditions of Employment Requires the ability to pass the
IDOC/IDJJ
background check. Requires ability to pass a drug screen. The use of unauthorized drugs by an employee, regardless of position held, is prohibited. Required to utilize digital technology, tools, platforms, and processes in managing and supporting various digital enhancements for greater efficiency, productivity, and digital transformation efforts within the department.
