Salary:
$19.70/hour during probationary period. $20.00/hour after probationary period.
Summary:
Keeps premises of commercial, retail, airport, hospitality, healthcare, convention centers/arenas, or other institutional buildings in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned. ï‚
- Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim. ï‚
- Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas. ï‚
- Sweeps, scrubs, finishes, and polishes the floor. ï‚
- Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies. ï‚
- Dusts furniture and equipment. ï‚
- Polishes metalwork. ï‚
- Washes walls, ceilings, and woodwork. ï‚
- Washes windows, door panels, and sills. ï‚
- Empties wastebaskets, empties, and cleans ashtrays. ï‚
- Transports trash and waste to the disposal area.

Education/Experience:
No prior experience or training.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization in English.
Math Ability:
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide by 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
