Four Paws Veterinary Clinic is seeking a dependable, hardworking Boarding Attendant/Housekeeping Specialist. This is a very physical, fast-paced, labor-intensive position. While you will work closely with animals, a large portion of this job involves cleaning, lifting, walking dogs, laundry, sanitizing, and maintaining our boarding facility.

Applicants should be comfortable being on their feet for the majority of their shift and working in an environment that can be loud, messy, wet, and physically demanding. This position requires someone who is self-motivated, dependable, and willing to stay busy throughout their entire shift.

Responsibilities include:

• Cleaning and sanitizing kennels, runs, cages, floors, and boarding areas
• Handling urine, feces, vomit, and other animal-related messes
• Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting
• Walking and safely handling dogs of various sizes and strength levels
• Lifting and carrying animals, food bags, laundry, supplies, and equipment as needed
• Feeding, watering, exercising, and monitoring boarding animals
• Completing multiple loads of laundry and maintaining clean bedding
• Washing dishes, bowls, litter boxes, and boarding supplies
• Following detailed feeding, medication, cleaning, and safety instructions
• Keeping boarding areas clean and organized throughout the entire shift
• Communicating any health or behavioral concerns immediately
• Assisting with additional cleaning and housekeeping duties throughout the clinic

Physical Requirements:

Applicants must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, repeatedly bend and squat, work at a quick pace, and safely lift approximately 40-50 pounds. You must also be comfortable handling large or energetic dogs. Availability Weekend and holiday availability is required, as our boarding animals require care 365 days a year.

Pay:

From $15.00 per hour
