Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and using appropriate protective equipment during cleaning tasks. Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and carpet cleaners efficiently to achieve optimal results. Manage heavy lifting tasks involved in moving furniture or supplies while adhering to manual handling safety procedures. Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly and accurately in case of incidents or safety concerns. Ensure compliance with sanitation standards and hotel policies by maintaining detailed records of cleaning activities and safety protocols. Skills Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial roles with a strong understanding of industrial cleaning practices. Expertise in floor care techniques including floor cleaning, chemical handling, and maintenance of various flooring types. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members alike. Knowledge of cleaning equipment operation and maintenance to maximize efficiency and safety. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical stamina for long shifts involving manual handling tasks. Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management processes and custodial experience to support team coordination. Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all staff and guests.
