Pines Village Retirement Communities is an independent retirement community dedicated to enriching the lives of older adults. We are currently seeking a dependable and compassionate Housekeeper to join our Facilities team. This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and attractive environment for our residents, guests, and employees throughout our community. Position Summary The Housekeeper is responsible for providing routine and deep cleaning services in resident apartments, common areas, and other Pines Village properties. This position works closely with residents and team members to ensure a high standard of cleanliness while promoting a positive and respectful living environment. Essential Responsibilities Clean resident apartments according to individualized housekeeping plans Perform routine cleaning duties including: Vacuuming Dusting Sweeping and mopping floors Cleaning kitchens and bathrooms Sanitizing sinks, countertops, and appliances Complete deep cleaning assignments including: Moving furniture for cleaning Cleaning windows, woodwork, and light fixtures Pulling out appliances for detailed cleaning Clean and maintain common areas throughout the community Monitor apartments and common areas for maintenance concerns and report issues appropriately Follow infection control and sanitation procedures, including seasonal cleaning protocols Properly use and maintain housekeeping equipment and cleaning supplies Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, visitors, and team members Maintain housekeeping carts, closets, and storage areas in an organized manner Attend required staff meetings, training sessions, and safety drills Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications Required:
High School Diploma or GED Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and follow instructions Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism Valid Indiana Driver's License and proof of insurance
Preferred:
