SCOPE AND PURPOSE

To be responsible for cleaning common areas, vacant units and any other duty or assistance necessary or requested by supervisor.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.

Daily cleaning responsibilities:

A. Clean Manager's office 1. Empty Trash 2. Vacuum carpet 3. Dust furniture, file cabinets, T.V. window ledges, etc. 4. Clean toilet and sink, bowl sanitizer, clean chrome & stainless fixtures. 5. Damp mop bathroom floor. B. Clean Lobby Area outside office 1. Clean restrooms with bowl cleaner in stool & sink 2. Use stainless steel treatment on chrome/steel finishes 3. Empty trashcans and refill towel dispenser 4. Clean mirror with Windex, and tabletops next to restrooms also need cleaned. 5. Damp mop floors in restrooms. Lock doors until floors are dry. 6. Vacuum carpeting throughout. Vacuum furniture cushions as needed. 7. Wash windows in entryway. Vacuum corners and remove cobwebs. 8. Clean and polish drinking fountains. Use Pert to clean drinking fountain, then polish. 9. Vacuum around laundry as necessary. 10. Clean kitchens craft room Community room, dust, vacuum & windows. 11. Remove trash and clean bathroom back in Maintenance area. 12. Vacuum elevators. 13. Vacuum Dining room after lunch.

JOB DESCRIPTION - MV - HOUSEKEEPER/JANITOR 2.

Weekly cleaning responsibilities: A. Monday and Friday 1. Vacuum carpeting throughout building 2. Use sweeper attachment to get along baseboard edges while sweeping. 3. Dust all windowsills and frames as you pass them while sweeping. 4. Dust off coke machine (sides & top) 5. Dust off fire extinguisher boxes as you pass them. 6. Dust all handrails. 7. Inside windows. 2. A. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8. Dust all lobby furniture, tables, lamps, etc. 9. Damp mop all laundry and trash room floors. Block doors until dry. 10. Wipe off wall around trash chute, clean chute door. 11. Clean all stairwells, vacuum, remove cobwebs from floor and stair rails. 12. Sweep and mop kitchen and storage room. 13. Remove trash from trash rooms (Monday, Wednesday & Friday)

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Part-time Housekeeping/Janitorial experience. 2. Experience in using buffing equipment or ability to learn. 3. Ability to work with persons of all ethnic backgrounds. 4. Desire to fulfill job requirements and be an honest, good, dependable employee.
