A Maid or Housekeeping Staff provides cleaning and housekeeping services, primarily for rooms and bathrooms in hotels and hospitals. May also work in private residences, office buildings, colleges, other institutions.
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and presentation across all areas of the Country Club. This includes interior and exterior spaces such as restrooms, locker rooms, the golf shop, fitness and tennis centers, pool area, tennis bubble, and areas throughout the golf course. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
General Cleaning Tasks:
Clean and sanitize bathrooms, locker rooms, showers, and restrooms. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and spot clean carpets and rugs. Strip, wax, and buff floors as needed. Dust furniture, ledges, fixtures, and all horizontal surfaces. Clean mirrors, windows, glass doors, and other reflective surfaces. Remove trash and recycling from all areas; replace liners and transport waste to disposal locations. Restock restroom supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels, etc.).
Facility Areas Maintenance:
Clean and maintain the following areas: Pool restrooms and snack shack Golf shop and surrounding areas Tennis center and tennis bubble Fitness center and locker rooms Restrooms throughout the golf course property Clean entrances, lobbies, hallways, and stairwells, including exterior walkways and patios. Maintain cleanliness of staff and guest-facing areas. Maintain cleanliness of staff offices and areas Ensure exterior areas are free from debris and presentable at all times.
Event Support:
Assist with event setup and breakdown including light cleaning, organizing, and resetting spaces. Provide additional cleaning during and after events, including parties, tournaments, and banquets.
Team Collaboration & Independence:
Work efficiently alone and as part of a team depending on assignment. Follow daily checklists and assigned routes or zones. Communicate with supervisors about supply needs, maintenance issues, or areas requiring attention.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to: Stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb stairs for extended periods of time. Lift and carry up to 40 pounds (trash bags, cleaning equipment, supply boxes). Use manual and powered cleaning equipment (buffers, vacuums, etc.). Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
