Residential Housekeeper & Household ManagerJob Overview We are seeking a dependable, energetic, and detail-oriented Housekeeper and Household Manager to maintain the cleanliness, comfort, and day-to-day readiness of a private residence. This position combines comprehensive housekeeping with household organization, light property maintenance, care of small livestock, pet-related errands, and preparation for houseguests. The ideal candidate takes pride in creating a clean, welcoming home and is proactive in identifying tasks that need attention. This individual should be trustworthy, organized, able to work independently, and willing to assist with a variety of household needs. ResponsibilitiesHousekeeping and Guest Preparation Perform comprehensive cleaning, including dusting, sanitizing surfaces, vacuuming, mopping, floor care, carpet cleaning, and cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and common areas. Keep the home neat, organized, comfortable, and ready to welcome family members and guests. Prepare guest rooms before visitors arrive and restore rooms after their departure. Change bed linens, make beds, replace towels, and ensure bedrooms and bathrooms are fully stocked and presentable. Identify areas needing additional attention and address them proactively. Follow appropriate cleaning and sanitation procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic home environment. Laundry and Household Organization Wash, dry, fold, organize, and put away clothing, towels, bedding, and other household linens. Maintain organized closets, cabinets, storage areas, and household supplies. Monitor cleaning supplies, toiletries, linens, and other household necessities. Purchase cleaning products, household supplies, groceries, and other requested items as needed. Keep receipts and communicate clearly regarding purchases and household needs. Household and Pet-Related Errands Assist with routine household errands, including grocery shopping, picking up supplies, and transporting items as requested. Transport the household dog to grooming appointments, veterinary appointments, or other scheduled services when needed. Help coordinate routine household services and provide access to approved vendors or maintenance professionals when requested. Communicate promptly regarding household concerns, maintenance needs, appointments, or supply shortages. Small Livestock and Outdoor Tasks Feed and provide fresh water for small livestock, including chickens. Observe animals during routine care and promptly report any signs of illness, injury, or unusual behavior. Perform light outdoor duties such as landscape weeding, watering plants, sweeping outdoor areas, and keeping entryways tidy. Maintain cleanliness and organization in areas used for animal feed and supplies. Notify the homeowner when feed, bedding, or other animal-care supplies need to be replenished. Equipment and Safety Operate household cleaning equipment and use detergents and cleaning products safely and appropriately. Maintain organized and secure storage of cleaning supplies, equipment, and animal-care products. Follow all household instructions and safety procedures. Move furniture, supplies, laundry, and household items using proper lifting techniques. Protect the privacy, security, and confidentiality of the household and its guests. Experience and Qualifications Previous experience in residential housekeeping, household management, janitorial work, custodial work, hospitality, or a related position is preferred. Knowledge of cleaning methods for different surfaces, flooring, carpeting, appliances, and household furnishings. Experience with laundry care, bed preparation, household organization, and guest-room readiness. Comfort caring for dogs and small livestock, including chickens. Willingness and ability to perform light landscaping and outdoor work. Strong time-management and organizational skills. Ability to recognize household needs and complete tasks without constant supervision. Excellent communication and customer-service skills. Ability to safely perform physical tasks, including bending, reaching, standing for extended periods, moving supplies, and lifting household items. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a safe driving record are preferred due to household and pet-related errands. Dependable, honest, respectful, and committed to maintaining the household's privacy. Pay:
