Environmental Services Aide (Part-Time)
Part-Time:
24 hours per week Flexible weekday schedule within Monday-Friday hours. Additional hours may be available up to 32 hours per week based on facility needs and staffing. This position has the potential to grow into a full-time role. Daisy Hill Senior Living is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Environmental Services Aide who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents and guests. This role is responsible for supporting the overall appearance, cleanliness, and comfort of the community through routine environmental services duties in resident apartments and common areas. The ideal candidate works efficiently, maintains strong attention to detail, and enjoys contributing to a warm and friendly community. Environmental Services Aides play an important role in enhancing residents' quality of life through positive interactions, kindness, and respectful conversation while maintaining professional boundaries. Key Responsibilities Clean assigned areas including resident apartments, common areas, offices, and guest restrooms. Perform routine environmental services tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces. Clean and sanitize bathrooms, fixtures, showers, tubs, countertops, and kitchen areas. Maintain floors, carpets, and rugs using appropriate cleaning methods and equipment. Assist with apartment turnovers to prepare units for incoming residents. Restock necessary supplies and maintain carts and equipment in an orderly condition. Collect and dispose of trash in designated areas. Follow all safety procedures when using cleaning chemicals and equipment, ensuring items are properly stored when not in use. Keep hallways and exits clear of cords, carts, or equipment and report maintenance concerns as needed. Build positive relationships with residents by engaging in friendly, respectful conversation and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Recognize opportunities to brighten a resident's day through courteous interaction while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries. Observe and report resident concerns or changes noticed during daily interactions to the appropriate staff member. Interact professionally and respectfully with residents, families, visitors, and team members. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the cleanliness and appearance of the community. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous environmental services, housekeeping, janitorial, hospitality, or senior living experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent, high-quality cleaning standards. Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently. Friendly, compassionate demeanor with the ability to interact professionally with older adults. Dependable attendance and strong work ethic. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and stand for extended periods. Comfortable performing repetitive cleaning tasks. Additional Requirements Ability to pass a drug screen. Clear background with no prior criminal history.
