Job Description
Kennel & Daycare Attendant The Secret Garden Pet Resort is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and hardworking individual who is passionate about animal care and committed to providing exceptional service to both pets and their owners. Please note that this is a seasonal position and is best suited for someone with a flexible schedule. Hours per week may reach 40 hours. Qualifications No prior experience required Passion for animals and their well-being Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills Reliable, patient, and detail-oriented Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a physically active environment Pet First Aid & CPR Certification (required within 3 months of employment) Responsibilities Supervise daycare playgroups and maintain a safe, structured environment using positive reinforcement and proper handling techniques. Monitor pets for health, behavior, or temperament changes and promptly communicate concerns to management. Feed, water, walk, and provide daily care for boarding and daycare guests according to individual instructions. Check pets in and out, ensuring they leave with the correct owner and belongings. Maintain a clean and sanitary facility through routine cleaning of kennels, daycare areas, cat condos, dishes, laundry, floors, and common areas. Accurately document pet behaviors, eating habits, medications, incidents, and daily activities. Ensure pets have constant access to fresh water and receive attentive, compassionate care throughout their stay. Assist with additional facility duties as needed to support team operations and maintain our high standards of care.
