Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in various settings, including home community care and assisted living environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those they assist, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times. Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Assist clients with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary. Support clients with daily living activities while promoting independence and dignity. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Communicate effectively with clients, facility staff, and healthcare professionals regarding care plans and client progress. Engage in activities that support the social and emotional well-being of clients, particularly those with autism or other developmental challenges. Requirements Previous experience in caregiving or long-term care settings is preferred. Knowledge of first aid practices and ability to respond to emergencies effectively. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality. Ability to work compassionately with individuals on the autism spectrum or those requiring specialized support. Physical capability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on empathy and understanding.
