In 2018, we opened TOURISTS, a 46-room flagship hotel modernizing the aesthetic of a classic American motor lodge. The land on which the hotel sits straddles the Hoosic River, revealing a network of walking trails, and forest clearings designed for year-round exploration guided by our on-site Art & Adventure team. In 2019, we opened our second project, The Airport Rooms, an on-site restaurant & cocktail lounge for hotel guests and the community to enjoy. With an unquenchable interest in the natural history of the region and a goal of providing an economic engine for local employment, TOURISTS WELCOME continues to evolve in and outside of North Adams, with new projects coming soon. About the role The Housekeeping Attendant is an integral member of the service team working on day-to-day operations. TOURISTS\' goal in all positions is to exceed expectations of our guests. The Housekeeping staff contributes to that experience by providing service that includes, but is not limited to, the cleaning, restocking and general upkeep of the guest rooms, common areas and offices along with the laundry program. What you\'ll do

• Maintain accountability for Housekeeping procedures, including cleaning, inventory/restocking, and laundry
• Monitor guest rooms, laundry room and other guest areas for maintenance needs and communicate with Maintenance Staff on work orders
• Monitor guest rooms for in-room service items and coordinate with the Food & Beverage & Front Desk staff for retrieval service
• Communicate timely and effectively with Front Desk on guest room status and other guest needs
• The person in this position may have to lift up to 50 pounds on a daily basis. Any lift over 50lbs is deemed a two-person lift
• The person having this position may have to stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for eight (8) hours per day
• The position does require movement between locations on property exposing individuals to variable climate conditions as well as movement in and out of kitchen facilities
• Always ensure open lines of communication with all departments and upper management via radio, text, email, log books, meetings, etc., to ensure all needs of the hotel are met
• Attend all relevant meetings
• Comply with all Company policies and procedures

• Maintain on-going professional development Qualifications
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Certificates, licenses, and/or identification cards as required by the U.S. Department of Justice to verify employment eligibility
• Minimum of one (1) year housekeeping experience or related experience. Hotel experience is preferred
