In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of guest areas and back-of-house spaces. Your proactive approach will ensure that our environment remains pristine, safe, and welcoming for all guests and staff. Responsibilities Perform floor cleaning and maintenance using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents, ensuring all surfaces are spotless and well-maintained. Handle chemical agents safely by understanding and adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and proper chemical handling procedures. Assist with manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, furniture, or equipment to support housekeeping staff. Conduct sanitation of guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and service spaces to uphold hygiene standards. Support hotel housekeeping management by organizing supplies, replenishing amenities, and ensuring cleaning schedules are met efficiently. Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns, maintaining a secure environment for guests and staff. Maintain cleanliness of cleaning equipment and ensure all tools are stored properly after use to promote safety and efficiency. Requirements Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services, with knowledge of industrial cleaning practices preferred. Familiarity with floor care techniques including vacuuming, mopping, waxing, and polishing floors. Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely while understanding safety data sheets (SDS) requirements. Strong manual handling skills with the physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive cleaning tasks. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with guests and team members at all times. Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to respond effectively in urgent situations. Experience with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, steam cleaners, and other janitorial tools. Previous hotel experience or hospitality background is highly desirable to understand the unique needs of the environment. Ability to work independently or as part of a team within fast-paced hotel operations while maintaining high standards of sanitation and safety.
