Start Date:
09/21/2026 The Housekeeping position is responsible for the cleanliness of all the residential halls, offices within the residential halls, and cultural centers. This position performs in an institutional/residential setting that requires planning for a "least-disruptive" approach to work, an appreciation of the unique surroundings. The seven hundred plus acres of Mount Holyoke must always reflect the historic and iconic beauty of our Ivy League institution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
General cleaning tasks at campus buildings. Sweeping, vacuuming and washing floors. Emptying waste receptacles. Cleaning and disinfecting bathroom toilets, showers, countertops, mirrors, sinks and high touch surfaces. Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures. Communicate building and safety concerns, report need for repair or services. Additional duties related to Commencement, Reunion, Events and Summer Conferences as assigned.
SKILLS/ KNOWLEDGE/ CERTIFICATIONS
Skills & Abilities:
Must be able to adhere to a detailed cleaning program. Must be willing to work some weekends and holidays. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds. A willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
Licenses & Certifications:
High school or equivalent.
