Job Title Room Attendant Location Property Department Rooms Property, if applicable Property Specific FLSA Non-Exempt Direct Supervisor Housekeeping Manager / Executive Housekeeper Job Overview The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning, preparing, and maintaining guest rooms to establish cleanliness and quality standards. This role ensures that all guest rooms are hygienic, well-stocked, and presented in excellent condition to support a comfortable and welcoming guest experience. This position operates in a fast-paced housekeeping environment with daily room quotas and requires frequent physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying items up to 25-50 lbs. The role may include morning, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts depending on operational needs. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, time management, and a commitment to cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Job Responsibilities Guest Room Cleaning & Preparation Clean and prepare guest rooms according to established hotel standards. Make beds, vacuum floors, dust surfaces, and sanitize all room areas. Clean bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, mirrors, and fixtures. Replace linens, towels, and guest toiletries as needed. Restocking & Maintenance Support Restock minibar items and in-room supplies. Empty trash and replace liners in guest rooms and service areas. Report maintenance issues such as broken fixtures, leaks, or damaged furniture. Guest Service & Interaction Respond to guest requests such as additional towels, amenities, or supplies. Maintain a respectful approach to guest privacy and security at all times. Provide courteous and professional service when interacting with guests. Public Area & Equipment Cleaning Clean hallways, housekeeping carts, and service areas as assigned. Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping equipment and supply areas. Follow proper handling and storage procedures for cleaning chemicals and tools. Safety, Compliance & Standards Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards. Adhere to proper procedures for guest room entry and privacy protocols. Ensure compliance with company policies and housekeeping guidelines.
