A Maid or Housekeeping Staff provides cleaning and housekeeping services, primarily for rooms and bathrooms in hotels and hospitals. May also work in private residences, office buildings, colleges, other institutions.
The Housekeeper at The Francis is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our luxury boutique hotel in Portland, Maine. As a member of our hospitality team, the Housekeeper plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time hourly position with a competitive starting salary of $18.50 to $19.50 per hour, paid weekly. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development and advancement within the company.
Responsibilities:
Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas according to hotel standards Change linens, make beds, and restock amenities in guest rooms Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors in all areas of the hotel Empty and properly dispose of trash and recycling Replenish supplies such as towels, soap, and toilet paper Report any maintenance issues or damages to management Assist with laundry and linen duties as needed Follow all safety and sanitation procedures Provide exceptional customer service to guests at all times
Requirements:
Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience preferred Excellent attention to detail and time management skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and customer service skills Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed, must be able to Work Sundays EEOC statement: The Francis is an equal opportunity employer.
