A Maid or Housekeeping Staff provides cleaning and housekeeping services, primarily for rooms and bathrooms in hotels and hospitals. May also work in private residences, office buildings, colleges, other institutions.
Must be responsible and able to perform cleaning and other related duties as assigned. Responsible for taking inventory, stocking supplies.
AREA:
All four floors, Main Street, Woodland Haven and Activities. All five kitchens, tower dining rooms, three season rooms and staff dining.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Works in well lighted and ventilated areas. Stands, bends and lifts intermittently during the work day.
PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Must be 18 years of age, in good mental and physical health. Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Experience preferred with some knowledge of cleaning procedures. Must be able to follow oral and written directions. Must have a willingness to work with other department staff and supervisors.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Clean corridors, living rooms, activities rooms. 2. Clean all toilet rooms (sink, mirror, toilet light fixtures, grab bars, walls, floors, light switches, etc.). 3. Dry and wet mop floors in bathrooms. 4. Dust furniture, window ledges, and beds, wash and disinfect as scheduled. 5. Wash and disinfect handrails, furniture, doors, etc. as assigned 6. Wash windows, glass on doors, entrance, etc. as assigned. 7. Wash and/or maintain windows, curtains, valances, blinds and cubicle curtains as needed, 8. Clean and keep stocked housekeeping carts and janitors closets. 9. Clean all other areas as assigned. 10. Wheelchair/commode cleaning. 11. All other related housekeeping tasks as assigned.
KITCHEN DUTIES
All Kitchens:
1. Detailed cleaning of floors, ceilings, walls, stainless steel, vents, hoods, mats, and ovens. 2. Removing kick plates to access under ovens, sink, and cabinets. 3. Treating two compartment sink drain. 4. Addition Assigned Duties as Required Living Room, Dining Room, Three Season Room, Staff Dining 1. Detailed cleaning of walls, dusting, tables and chairs, convectors, exterior of cabinets, and stainless steel. 2. Addition Assigned Duties as Required
