In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall presentation of guest areas and public spaces. Duties Perform floor cleaning and maintenance using appropriate cleaning equipment and techniques to ensure spotless surfaces. Handle various cleaning tasks including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitation of guest rooms, hallways, lobbies, and public areas. Safely manage chemical agents used for cleaning by adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures to ensure a safe environment. Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks related to cleaning supplies, furniture, or equipment to support efficient operations. Maintain cleanliness standards by replenishing supplies, disposing of waste properly, and ensuring all areas meet sanitation requirements. Support hotel housekeeping management by coordinating with housekeeping staff and responding promptly to guest requests or special cleaning needs. Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure guest and staff safety at all times. Qualifications Proven experience in hotel housekeeping, custodial work, or janitorial services within a hospitality environment. Knowledge of floor care techniques, sanitation standards, and industrial cleaning practices. Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and steam cleaners effectively. Familiarity with chemical handling procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) to ensure safe use of cleaning agents. Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members. Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks throughout shifts.
