Duties Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and chemical agents, adhering strictly to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines. Handle heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture, equipment, and supplies safely and efficiently. Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, polishing, and specialized floor care procedures to ensure a spotless appearance. Assist with hotel housekeeping management tasks including inventory control of cleaning supplies and coordinating with housekeeping staff to meet cleanliness standards. Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently, ensuring guest safety during any incident or evacuation. Use janitorial experience to manage industrial cleaning equipment and supplies effectively. Support custodial operations by performing routine maintenance tasks and addressing immediate cleaning needs promptly. Qualifications Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial roles within the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, including chemical agent handling and industrial cleaning methods. Familiarity with safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling of chemical agents to ensure a safe working environment. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and moving equipment or furniture. Experience with floor care techniques such as polishing, buffing, or stripping floors. Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and protocols for guest safety and incident response. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage janitorial supplies and maintain cleanliness standards consistently.
