Job Description

Job Summary:
The environmental services associate will work at our main Center located in Mt. Pleasant. The environmental services associate maintains a clean and safe environment for all patients, staff and visitors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Cleans and maintains all areas including waiting rooms, exam rooms, hallways, conference rooms, restrooms, windows, woodwork, light fixtures, and other work areas so that the health standards are met and the facility is neat and debris-free. Maintains and cleans floor surfaces, furniture, and utilizes shampooer. Sweeps, mops, and scrubs hard surface floors. Vacuums carpeted floor surfaces. Dusts horizontal surfaces and wall vents as needed. Empties trash bins and replaces liners. Ensures trash, soiled linen and regulated waste are transported to the appropriate area. Follows universal precautions and procedures regarding cleaners, hazardous materials, and infection control. Disinfects equipment and supplies. Launders, folds and stocks clean linen. Restocks dispensers with toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap and hand sanitizer as required. Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies and reports any shortages or equipment malfunctions. Collaborates with the Facility Manager to ensure efficient operations. Recognizes and reacts appropriately to an urgent or emergent situation. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. The employee may be required to perform other duties as assigned by the Facility Manager.
Credentials and Experience:
Required 18 years of age. Attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Flexibility with the schedule as a portion of the hours worked will be after the Center has closed. Reliable transportation to commute between center locations if needed. Preferred Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial work preferred. Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment. Ability to prioritize tasks.
Special Requirement:
Requires constant standing, walking, reaching, and pushing/pulling. Requires frequent handle/grasp/feel, bending/twisting, and stooping/kneeling/crouching. Requires working under stressful conditions.
