In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of guest rooms and public spaces. Responsibilities Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing amenities to uphold high standards of cleanliness. Handle various cleaning tasks using appropriate chemical agents and cleaning equipment, ensuring safety data sheets (SDS) are followed for chemical handling. Perform floor care duties such as mopping, sweeping, and polishing to maintain spotless surfaces in all areas of the hotel. Assist with the sanitation of public spaces including hallways, lobbies, elevators, and restrooms to promote a hygienic environment. Follow hotel housekeeping management procedures and emergency protocols to ensure guest safety and operational efficiency. Lift heavy cleaning supplies or equipment safely during manual handling tasks, adhering to safety guidelines for heavy lifting. Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly. Qualifications Proven hotel housekeeping experience or janitorial experience with a strong understanding of industrial cleaning techniques. Knowledge of floor cleaning, sanitation standards, and hotel housekeeping management practices. Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines. Skilled in using cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and other janitorial tools effectively. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members. Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, and standing for extended periods. Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols is preferred.
