Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Houseperson to join our hospitality team! In this vital role, you will be the backbone of maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our guests. Your proactive approach to cleanliness and attention to detail will ensure that guest areas are pristine, well-organized, and adhere to the highest standards of hospitality. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, hallways, public areas, and service spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and chemical agents Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures to ensure a safe working environment Assist with heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture, supplies, or equipment to support housekeeping operations Maintain floor care by sweeping, mopping, buffing, and vacuuming to keep all surfaces spotless and safe for guests and staff Support hotel housekeeping management by restocking supplies, reporting maintenance issues, and ensuring cleanliness standards are met consistently Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns to ensure guest and staff safety Conduct manual handling tasks with proper technique to prevent injury while performing custodial duties efficiently Skills Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or hospitality housekeeping roles with a focus on industrial cleaning or custodial experience Strong knowledge of hotel housekeeping management practices and standards Ability to handle chemical agents safely by understanding SDS guidelines and proper handling protocols Skilled in floor care techniques including sweeping, mopping, polishing, and carpet extraction Physical stamina for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks throughout shifts Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures to respond effectively in urgent situations Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and safety standards Join us in creating an inviting environment where guests feel comfortable and cared for!
