Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning of residential or commercial spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitation to maintain a pristine environment Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures adhering to health standards, ensuring all areas are hygienic and safe for occupants Handle laundry tasks efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items Use cleaning equipment and detergents correctly to clean floors, carpets, surfaces, and fixtures effectively Manage outdoor work responsibilities such as patio or porch cleaning and outdoor surface maintenance when required Conduct floor care activities such as polishing, buffing, or deep cleaning to preserve flooring quality Communicate professionally with clients or residents to understand specific needs and provide excellent customer service Practice manual handling techniques for heavy lifting of furniture or equipment safely and efficiently Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper storage and timely replenishment Follow all safety protocols related to janitorial and custodial work to prevent accidents or injuries Skills Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning with knowledge of janitorial procedures and custodial practices Strong understanding of cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, carpet cleaning methods, and sanitation standards Ability to operate various cleaning equipment safely and effectively Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during scheduled shifts Customer service orientation with clear communication skills for interacting with clients or residents Knowledge of cleaning detergents, disinfectants, and proper handling procedures for hazardous materials Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, outdoor work, and prolonged periods of standing or walking Familiarity with nursing home housekeeping standards or hospitality industry experience is advantageous Join our team today as a Housekeeper and be part of an organization committed to maintaining beautiful spaces while delivering outstanding service.
