Position:
(Purpose of the Position): The Media Room Attendant helps keep the Photo Lab and Media Room organized, efficient and operating. Student workers in this position may be assigned to work in the Photo Lab classroom, the Media Room, or both. In the Photo Lab, the main duties relate to checking inventory, mixing solutions for photo development, cleaning the studio, and assisting students. In the Media Room, main duties relate to managing and preparing equipment checkouts and returns, assisting with the lighting studio, operating the large format printers, and monitoring supplies.

Mix photo chemistry as needed Check in and out media room equipment Assist with digital printing needs Assist students as needed Organize and tidy equipment and spaces
Qualifications:
(Education/Experience/Skills) This position requires promptness and attention to detail Students must have taken Intro to Photography to be eligible for this position Knowledge and experience with digital and analog cameras, audiovisual equipment, Photoshop, and lighting is preferred Applications will be reviewed by the studio art technician and the photo instructor at the end of each semester
Physical and Environmental Factors:
This position requires crouching, stooping, twisting/pivoting, reaching overhead, grasping/handling, lifting and carrying objects up to 20 lbs., operating hand tools, and operating equipment to perform the essential functions. It also requires exposure to respiratory factors and chemicals, as well as rare exposure to loud noise, wet or humid conditions indoors, proximity hazards, and heights or cramped quarters to perform the essential functions. Protective equipment is required for some essential functions. Candidates must possess the ability to safely perform the physical work required of all duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
