Pay:

$16.00 - $19.00

Responsibilities The following duties are routine for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Provide for a clean and safe environment. Attend mandatory staff training and meetings. Monitor housekeeping inventory and for inventory waste. Attend staff in services and meetings. Paraprofessionals may not admit, transfer, or discharge clients. They may be directed to follow through with the process of implementation of the above by the director or designee. Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Skills & Qualifications Required:

Must be 18 years of age or older. Be able to work independently and/or as a team player. Must know and understand all rules, regulations, and requirements of the assigned program. Must have one-year continuing freedom from chemical use problems. Possess a valid driver license. The ability to lift and move objects weighing a minimum of 25 pounds. CPR and first aid certified.

Preferred:

Strong verbal skills and ability to communicate with a variety of people from diverse cultures, socioeconomic and educational backgrounds. Flexibility to meet a variety of changing priorities Computer skills for reporting time entries.

Physical Requirement Lifting:

Up to 50 pounds, client luggage, supplies, cleaning

Standing:

Up to 8 hours per day Stair climbing: Most facilities, up to 20% of time

Driving:

Cars and 15 passenger vans, average 2-4 hours per day, up to 8 hours per day

Varies, 2 hours

Reaching:

2 hours per day unless driving
