Job Description
Monday-Friday, No weekends! Are you searching for a work environment where respect, compassion, gratitude, and peace flourish? Look no further! This is 40 hours per week! The Environmental Services Assistant is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary environment in the areas of housekeeping and laundry. Essential Specific Job Duties Resident Rooms Dust; wall hangings, drapes, light fixtures, stands, dressers, desks, lamps, vents, register, and ceilings. Washes walls, windows, tracks, doors, door knobs, telephones, bedside tray tables. Washes/vacuums recliners/chairs, empty and clean waste containers, clean and sanitize humidifiers, and fans. Mops, scrubs, strips, and re-coats hard floors, vacuum and extract carpeting. Strips, washes, flips mattresses, wash/dust and make beds. Moves, sets up and takes down furniture. Laundry Collects general and personal clothing and linen from collection sites. Sorts, pre-spots, loads, washes, unloads, dries, irons, folds, sorts, stacks, and returns processed laundry to assigned areas. Keeps work areas and equipment clear of dust and lint. Dries, mops, scrubs, strips, and re-coats floor. Maintains appropriate dryer temperature control for specific fabric care. Equipment Operates and cleans floor care equipment and cleans housekeeping cart. Operates and cleans laundry machines. Reports malfunctions of equipment to supervisor/maintenance. Bathrooms and Utility Rooms Washes walls, mirrors, grab bars, medicine cabinets, sinks, stools, showers, and bathtubs. Dusts vents, ceiling, and upper walls, empty and clean waste and pad containers.
Attends training and workshops as assigned.
Attends and participates in department meetings.
Follows and supports all policies and procedures as established by the Sisters of the Order of Saint Benedict.
Restocks supplies:
toilet paper, paper towels, facial tissue, personal supplies, can liners, lotion, soap and cleaning products. Mops and scrubs floors. Common Areas, Offices, Hallways and Outside Areas Dusts wall hangings and furniture, vacuum/wash chairs, empty and clean waste containers. Cleans refrigerators, sinks, counters, telephones, bathtubs, televisions, light fixtures, vents, fans, and humidifiers. Mops, scrubs, strips, and re-coats hard floors, vacuum and extract carpeting, change and clean rugs. Sweeps sidewalks, cleans the gazebo, and cleans patio furniture. Maintains special wood finishes in chapel and other areas. Washes walls, windows, tracks, doors, and door knobs. OtherObserves and implements safety and sanitation procedures.Attends training and workshops as assigned.
Attends and participates in department meetings.
