The Mail Room Attendant / Spirit Store Assistant is responsible for coordinating daily campus mail operations, including receiving, sorting, processing, and distributing incoming and outgoing mail and packages. During non-peak mail periods, the position assists with campus spirit store operations, customer service, merchandising, and inventory support to enhance campus engagement and operational efficiency. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Receive, sort, process and distribute incoming and outgoing campus mail, packages, and deliveries in a timely and accurate manner; maintain organized mailroom operations and ensure compliance with postal and university procedures. Assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors with mail and package inquiries; provide customer service related to mailroom and spirit store operations. Support spirit store operations including stocking merchandise, operating point-of-sale systems, assisting customers, maintaining displays, and monitoring inventory levels. Coordinate package notifications, maintain delivery records, and assist with mailroom inventory and supply management. Assist with special events, promotions, and campus outreach activities related to auxiliary services and spirit store operations. Minimum Education/Experience High School diploma or equivalent Basic computer and cash handling skills Preferred Education/Experience Customer service or retail experience. Experience in a mailroom, shipping/receiving, retail, or campus environment. Experience operating point-of-sale systems Experience working in higher education or student-facing environments.
