Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping team member to support a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors at our inpatient behavioral health facility. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong commitment to cleanliness, patient safety, and infection control within a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily cleaning and disinfecting duties in patient rooms, common areas, restrooms, staff offices, and clinical spaces Follow infection control protocols, safety regulations, and sanitation guidelines Safely operate cleaning tools and equipment, including vacuums, floor scrubbers, and laundry machinery Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and hand sanitizer Remove trash and biohazard waste in compliance with facility procedures Assist with laundry duties, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens Report maintenance needs, safety concerns, or damaged equipment promptly Communicate respectfully and professionally with patients, staff, and visitors Support emergency cleaning efforts and collaborate with other departments when needed

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred 1+ year of experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial services (healthcare setting preferred) Understanding of cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and standard procedures Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, bend, reach, and stand or walk for extended periods Ability to work independently and follow instructions and safety guidelines Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards Background in mental health or healthcare environment strongly preferred

Requirements:

Must pass a TB test, background check, and drug screening prior to employment Must pass EHR/EMR Kipu training within 30 days of orientation

Pay:

$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
