Hourly Age Requirement:
Must be at least 18 years of age Reports to: Asst. Housekeeping Manager / Executive Housekeeper This position is a P.M. shift. Schedules are typically 3:00 - 11:00 or 4:00 - 12:00 a.m. Holidays and weekends will be required. As the PM Public Space Supervisor, you will take charge of supervising, directing, and assisting the housekeeping staff to ensure the successful completion of their tasks. You are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all public areas, including restrooms, the lobby, and back-of-house facilities such as employee bathrooms, locker rooms, the pool, and the fitness center. Adherence to company procedures is mandatory, and you are expected to uphold standards that consistently meet or exceed company expectations.
Responsibilities include:
Supervise housekeeping and laundry staff, providing input for counseling, termination, performance evaluations, training, and development Assist with associate mentoring, training, and development; provide fair and equitable feedback to attain maximum level of guest service. Ensure quality services are rendered in meeting guest needs Monitor and maintain the required level of cleanliness in rooms, storage areas, laundry, restrooms, and common areas Analyze and resolve work problems. Ensure safety standards are strictly followed. Enforce procedures for the acceptance, security, and return of guest lost and found items. Train new associates Conduct inventories of linen, supplies, and equipment as required. Clean hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, offices, and other work areas. Sweep, scrub, and polish floors using brooms and mops. Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using a vacuum cleaner and shampoo machines. Dust furniture and equipment. Polish metalwork such as fixtures and fittings. Wash walls, ceiling, and woodwork. Wash windows, door panels, and sills. Empty and clean wastebaskets and ashtrays. Transport garbage and waste to the disposal area. Replenish common area bathroom supplies. Qualifications Qualifications Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors. Ability to accurately report information. Ability to scrupulously follow all Driftwood and hotel policies and procedures; hold subordinates accountable for same. Conduct and attend all required meetings Adjusts to high-pressure conditions and is open to change. Consistently maintains positive demeanor. Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development. Conducts him\herself, acts and dresses professionally at all times. Understands and communicates the Driftwood Mission. Expresses ideas and conveys information clearly, effectively, and professionally. Conveys company information, decision, or problems to appropriate parties on a timely basis. Works to resolve disagreements and is respectful of peers and co-workers. Relevant training and experience required. Additional language ability is preferred. Physical Requirements Minimum lifting and pulling of 20 pounds. Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, and manual dexterity. Hearing, writing.
