Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping/L1MA to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents and staff. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced healthcare setting. The Housekeeping/L1MA will play a vital role in supporting resident well-being by ensuring that all living spaces meet health and safety standards while adhering to privacy regulations. Duties Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of resident rooms, common areas, and facility spaces in accordance with established protocols. Assist with resident personal care needs, including hygiene, mobility support, and comfort measures, ensuring dignity and respect at all times. Maintain proper documentation of cleaning activities and resident interactions using electronic health record (EHR) systems or electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Support medication administration processes by ensuring medication storage areas are clean and organized, and assisting with basic patient care tasks as directed by nursing staff. Adhere to HIPAA regulations to maintain resident confidentiality and protect sensitive medical information. Communicate effectively with team members regarding resident needs, safety concerns, or environmental issues requiring attention. Comply with state healthcare regulations and facility policies related to behavioral health environments. Skills Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or senior living environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and basic patient care practices relevant to geriatric populations. Familiarity with medical documentation procedures using EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or similar platforms. Certification in first aid, CPR, and basic life support (BLS) is required; additional certifications in hospice or dementia care are advantageous. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while managing resident mobility support or heavy lifting requirements. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities is preferred. Strong caregiving skills combined with excellent communication abilities tailored for working with elderly residents or those with memory impairments.
