Essential Job Responsibilities Participates in preparation of food and food handling techniques to ensure quality maintaining sanitation and safety procedures. Ensures that diets are served as prescribed making only authorized substitutions. Preparing meals, snacks and beverages following specific procedures. Taking inventory of kitchen supplies and food items. Performs day-to-day housekeeping functions in resident rooms and common areas in accordance with daily work assignments. Identifies, plans and incorporates resident's daily pleasures and interests into household life bases upon recommendations from families and friends. Distributes clean laundry, linen, and garments daily. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Provide patience and compassion when working with residents and family members. Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members and team members. Strong attention to detail. Staying current on the individual procedures and protocols for their facilities, including state-specified rules and regulations. Other Qualifications Has not been excluded from participating in Medicare and Medicaid programs. Maintains eligibility to participate in Medicare and Medicaid programs throughout employment. Capable of providing emergency care as needed for any resident in the facility. Participate in pre-employment and annual Tuberculosis screening.
