Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, bed making, and bathroom sanitation using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, and recreational spaces by executing routine janitorial tasks. Handle cleaning supplies and chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper chemical handling procedures. Use industrial cleaning tools and equipment efficiently to ensure optimal floor care and sanitation standards are met. Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or supplies while adhering to manual handling safety protocols. Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns to ensure guest and staff safety. Provide excellent customer service by responding courteously to guest inquiries or requests related to housekeeping services. Requirements Proven experience in hotel housekeeping, custodial work, or janitorial services with knowledge of industrial cleaning practices. Familiarity with floor cleaning techniques, including floor care and maintenance using appropriate cleaning equipment. Ability to handle chemical agents safely while performing sanitation tasks; knowledge of SDS is preferred. Strong manual handling skills for heavy lifting and moving supplies or furniture efficiently and safely. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members. Basic understanding of hotel housekeeping management processes and hospitality standards. Ability to follow safety protocols diligently, including hotel emergency procedures.
