Job Overview :
The Banquet Houseperson is responsible for assisting in the setup, service, and breakdown of banquet and catering events. This role requires a strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Setup:
Set up tables, chairs, linens, and other equipment according to event specifications. Assist in the placement of centerpieces, table settings, and other decorative elements. Ensure all equipment is clean and functional.
Service:
Transport food and beverage items to and from the kitchen and banquet areas. Assist in the service of food and beverages to guests, as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas throughout the event.
Breakdown:
Remove all food and beverage items from tables and dispose of waste properly. Strip tables and stack chairs. Clean and sanitize all equipment and surfaces. Transport used linens and equipment to designated areas.
General:
Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor. Work cooperatively with other team members. Be flexible and able to adapt to changing schedules and event requirements. Qualifications Previous experience in a banquet or hospitality setting preferred. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Physical Demands Requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying items. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Work Environment Fast-paced, often hectic environment. Exposure to hot and cold temperatures. Irregular work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements:
Education & Experience At least 1-2 years of hotel or event experience. High school diploma required.
