Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning duties across all areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies Handle chemical agents safely by following established safety protocols for storage, mixing, and disposal Operate floor buffers and other specialized equipment to maintain high standards of floor care and sanitation Conduct heavy lifting tasks with proper safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed Maintain facilities by performing routine custodial tasks such as trash removal, surface cleaning, and sanitation procedures Assist with minor maintenance tasks including residential painting or light repairs to uphold facility appearance Follow strict safety procedures during all cleaning and maintenance activities to ensure a hazard-free environment Skills Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles within commercial or industrial settings Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and chemical handling safety procedures Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and industrial cleaning tools Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and equipment use Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with staff and visitors Experience in facilities maintenance or general upkeep including minor repairs or painting projects Ability to work independently with attention to detail while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety Join us as a Facility Care Steward and be part of a team that values cleanliness, safety, and professionalism!
