Cleaning Technician

What you'll do: You are applying for a Seasonal, Full Time Position at our Camping Resort on beautiful Lake Gaston, NC. Our Cleaning Specialist ensures our resort stays clean and tidy to provide our guests a five-star experience.

Your job will include:

Cleaning specialist clean the resort office, clubhouse, bath houses, public access areas as directed, including mopping, dusting, vacuuming and removing trash. Keep common areas clean and maintain them to our standards. Keep track of cleaning supply inventory and request refills as needed. Report any maintenance concerns for repairs in common areas to the Resort Manager or Maintenance Supervisor. As a cleaning specialist you will also assist the maintenance staff and other staff members as needed. Assist with cleaning up resort-sponsored guest activities and functions. Assist your Resort Manager in responding to guest inquiries in a timely, professional manner and with patience and concern. Solve and/or report guest-related problems and address conflicts with a positive attitude. Our Cleaning specialist will be required to drive one of our property golf carts. Work closely with management and the management staff to maintain open communications and make sure that the resort team is integrated and coordinated. Provide outstanding customer service. Experience, skills and requirements you need: High school diploma or the equivalent. One to three years of experience in a housekeeping role. Knowledge of cleaning supplies and products. Previous housekeeping experience is a plus. Organizational skills and attention to details. Valid driver's license, good driving record, current auto insurance and reliable transportation. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Due to the nature of our business, you must be able to work weekends, holidays and flexible hours as needed. Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, offices, and common areas by sanitizing surfaces and restocking supplies. Use janitorial tools and cleaning agents safely and efficiently to ensure optimal results without damaging surfaces. Follow established protocols for waste disposal, recycling, and environmentally friendly cleaning practices. Assist with routine maintenance tasks such as dusting, window cleaning, and light custodial repairs as needed. Document completed tasks and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to supervisors. Skills Proven experience in cleaning or custodial services within commercial or institutional settings. Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and waxing floors. Skilled in carpet cleaning methods such as steam extraction or dry cleaning processes. Ability to operate cleaning machinery safely and effectively. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on health and safety standards. Good physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues clearly.
