Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including vacuuming, floor cleaning, and sanitation of guest rooms, hallways, public areas, and back-of-house spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Handle chemical agents safely by adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures to ensure a secure environment for yourself and others. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling tasks such as moving furniture, supplies, or equipment to support housekeeping operations. Maintain cleanliness standards by utilizing janitorial equipment effectively and ensuring all areas meet sanitation guidelines consistent with hotel housekeeping management protocols. Assist with hotel emergency procedures by responding promptly to safety concerns or incidents, ensuring guest safety at all times. Support custodial responsibilities by replenishing supplies, disposing of waste properly, and ensuring all cleaning activities comply with health regulations. Provide excellent customer service by responding courteously to guest requests related to cleanliness or housekeeping needs, fostering a welcoming atmosphere. Experience Previous experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial roles within hospitality environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques, including floor care and sanitation practices in hotel settings. Familiarity with cleaning equipment operation such as vacuums, buffers, and other janitorial tools is essential. Experience handling chemical agents safely while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines is required. Strong understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols ensures quick response during urgent situations. Proven ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks efficiently without compromising safety standards.
