Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a full-time Housekeeper for Methodist Fremont Hospital's evening shift . In this role, you would be responsible for the routine cleaning of patient rooms, operating rooms, recovery rooms, public areas, and office areas to ensure a clean and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and staff. •$2,000 SIGN-ON BONUS•
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Performs routine and specialized cleaning of assigned areas using established procedures and appropriate chemicals and equipment to maintain a safe, sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Operates and maintains cleaning equipment safely and reports any malfunctions promptly to ensure continuous, effective service. Manages inventory by mixing and using cleaning products correctly, requesting supplies as needed, and ensuring appropriate storage and usage to support operational efficiency. Sorts, stocks, and distributes clean linens to patient care areas, ensuring par levels are maintained and responding promptly to linen requests. Maintains cleanliness of linen storage and distribution areas through daily and weekly cleaning tasks, including disinfecting surfaces, mopping floors, and dusting vents and ledges. Follows all safety, infection control, and organizational protocols, communicates work progress and issues effectively, and participates in required training and development activities.

Salary:
Pay starts at $15.90 an hour and increases based on work history/experience.
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or General Educational Development (G.E.D.) preferred 6 months previous cleaning experience preferred, preferably within a healthcare environment. Knowledge of housekeeping cleaning practices preferred. Basic written and verbal communication skills for positive interaction with staff and customers preferred. Able to follow verbal and written directions required.
