Hotel Housekeeper Horse Creek Inn is seeking dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Housekeepers to maintain clean, comfortable, and welcoming guest rooms. Our Housekeepers are responsible for producing a high standard of cleanliness while following established hotel procedures. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position that requires employees to clean guest rooms efficiently while also keeping laundry moving throughout the shift. The ideal candidate will manage their time well, treat guests and fellow employees with dignity and respect, and follow all Horse Creek Inn policies and standards. Weekend availability is mandatory. Responsibilities Clean and prepare guest rooms according to Horse Creek Inn standards. Make beds and replace sheets, pillowcases, blankets, and other linens as needed. Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, tubs, mirrors, and floors. Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and wipe down guest-room surfaces. Remove trash and replace liners. Restock towels, toiletries, coffee supplies, cups, and other guest-room items. Check rooms carefully to ensure they are clean, organized, and ready for arriving guests. Keep laundry moving while cleaning rooms by regularly checking washers and dryers, switching loads promptly, folding linens, and putting clean laundry away. Balance housekeeping and laundry responsibilities so neither rooms nor laundry become backed up. Make sure clean sheets, towels, pillowcases, and other linens are available for the housekeeping team. Keep housekeeping carts, linen rooms, laundry rooms, storage areas, and equipment neat and organized. Inform the front desk or supervisor when additional linens, cleaning products, or supplies are needed. Follow all instructions for the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Immediately turn in any personal belongings found in guest rooms and follow Lost and Found procedures. Report maintenance concerns, damaged items, or safety hazards immediately. Report suspicious activity, unusual situations, or guest concerns to management. Help clean hallways, stairwells, the elevator, lobby, guest bathroom, laundry areas, and other common spaces when assigned. Assist other housekeepers to ensure all rooms are completed on time. Perform additional hotel duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous housekeeping, hotel, cleaning, laundry, or janitorial experience is preferred but not required. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to clean rooms while staying on top of laundry throughout the shift. Strong time-management and multitasking skills. Strong attention to detail and cleanliness. Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Respectful and professional when interacting with guests and employees. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and remain active throughout the shift. Ability to lift and carry laundry baskets, cleaning supplies, linens, and other housekeeping items. Must be available to work weekends and some holidays. Must be willing to assist with common-area cleaning and other hotel duties when needed. What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and understands that clean guest rooms and available clean linens are both essential to the guest experience. The right candidate will work at a steady pace, pay attention to small details, and manage their time effectively. Housekeepers are expected to keep washers and dryers running, switch loads promptly, fold laundry, and prevent linens from piling up while continuing to complete assigned rooms. Employees should not wait until all rooms are finished before checking laundry. Laundry must be monitored and kept moving throughout the entire shift. Housekeeping is a team-oriented position. Employees may be asked to help with rooms, laundry, common areas, or other hotel tasks to keep operations running smoothly.
