In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of guest rooms and public areas. Responsibilities Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies to uphold high standards of cleanliness. Handle various cleaning tasks such as floor care, chemical agent handling, and industrial cleaning to maintain spotless environments. Use appropriate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently, including vacuums, mops, buffers, and other janitorial tools. Follow safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel emergency procedures to ensure safety during chemical handling and manual handling activities. Assist with sanitation of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other communal spaces. Perform heavy lifting tasks when necessary, ensuring proper manual handling techniques are followed to prevent injury. Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly. Skills Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or janitorial experience within hospitality settings. Strong knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, floor care products, and sanitation standards. Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly while adhering to safety protocols and SDS guidelines. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members. Competence in operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and industrial cleaning tools. Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety practices related to chemical handling and heavy lifting. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
